5 I had a long Letter from Tobias upon our Affairs in
the East I met with the Presidency & Twelve Apostles
[FIGURES] upon the subject of Endowments & Adoption
And the following is a Revelation to Wilford Woodruff
upon that subject

Woodruff A. T . Pres. Willford. Woodruff Dear Brother I felt as though I must write a few words of thanks for the the intrés you took in me. In Sending my name to the Temples, & for your faith and prayers, for apostle James tells us the effectual fervant prayer of a rightous man alvaileth much My health is some better than when I wrote you & I am verry thankful for your faith and ^prayers^ Your Sister H. Letter from Abraham Owen Woodruff, 5 April 1894

My Dearest Father Brother Schick has just left me he is going to his home in Paris, Idah[o] after spending two years hear in the Lord's Vineyard. He seemed very glad to go and I gu[ess] his wife and family will be over joyed to have him return. He is an old man and also very poor, has not met with a great de[al] of success in his labors but is feeling well When he came yesterday he wanted to tal[k] English to me but I told him kno I wou[ld] prefer him to speak the Deutsch which he did. He has forgotten nearly all of his English and desires to learn some before he goes home but I did not want him to prac[tice] on me, as I am getting along fine with my German now. If I were with an Englishman i[t] would not be necessary for me to learn my new language as I am able to make people understand on any subject that comes before me. How correct I speake can not say. Pa! no one can tell how I have been blessed in my language and also other ways Two or three evenings ago, I had been to
