Mr. President Dear Sir:
I received yours I have closely read
the tracts. But I was much surprised
to find the power to remove disease or
pain bye laying on of hands was general
or common as it seems to be. I thot it
was very seldom given. I supposed that
it must for some great & good purpos
when it was confered on a person like
myself, & that it must be my duty to
use it to the greatest advantage, & as
my retired position did not give me a
chance to do much good. I thot you
might think it worth while to place
me where I could. I do not think
there are any persons representing your
church in this part of the state.
