Smith Dear Brethren: This petition respectfully presented asks you for no money, and only for so much of your time as is necessary to hear read the accompanying letter, and to determine whether or not you would allow a copy of it, with such changes and modifications as you may advise, to be sent with your signa- tures attached to the Presidency of each Stake. This course would place the matter simultaneously before the whole people if you deem it of sufficient importance and merit. is respectfully submitted for your consideration.
