Salt Lake U. T. Miss Blanche Woodruff My Dear Daughter I have just come in from beating the cow an hour and as Ma is writing you I thought I would write a few lines. You wrote ^us^ a ll splendid good Letter we have had nothing from Owen since you ^left^ I am as usual overwhelmed with work hardly time to eat Drink or pray. I am thankful the weather has come all clear is it was Enduring injuring the beet crop in Utah Co for sugar, the boys have pulled Down the old Barn at the Vally House & piled it up in the potatoe patch South of the Barn here. Springville, . To the Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Salt Lake City. Dear Bretheren: I received the letter you sent to me kindly requesting me to attend a course of instructions to be given in the B.Y.A. ofProvo under the auspices of the Y.M.M.I.A. I will be very pleased to have the privilege to attend and will be over there ready to commense as soon as circumstances will allow which will not be before about Nov. 1st. I have been expecting to go to the Academy if I could possibly do so, and your letter will cause me to strength- en my efforts in that direction. I have been married about one and 1/2 years, have no home of my own, and am working singlehanded, my circumstances are quite poor; but am determined to go if I can.
