Dear Brother,
Your letter to me dated the 28th
Ultimo informing me that I had been selected
to go on a mission to California as soon as
convenient has just been received, and in reply
I desire to state that I accept the call, and
will at once commence to arrange my business
affairs so as to leave as quickly as possible.
In response to that part of your letter
asking me to name the earliest time I
could leave, will state that my connection with
the business of The Paris Mercantile Co. necessitates
