29-11th St. San Francisco, First Presidency of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Salt Lake City, Utah. Dear Brethren: I am very glad to be able to write to you again. I have been out of the hospital one week, but my nervous system has been in such a condition I haven't dared to write before. When I first got out of hospital I wrote a short note home telling the folks so and I was so nervous I could hardly eat supper. I took a warning from that and have tried to keep quiet since. That's why I haven't written before. The Brethren sent for my wife while I was in a very critical condition and I desire for her to remain here and care for me until I regain strength. Roberts wishes me to travel through the settle- ments and sell his book (Outlines of Ecclesiastical History) for him, to the Seventies and Elders as also to the Sunday Schools. He offers the book for $1 50 where the class takes 10 more Vols. or 1 75 single coppies It is a work that will do untold good (as you alredy know) if studi- ed by classes.
