10 I met with my councillors & the Twelve upon the
Mexican Matters we were called to day to pay
some $25000 on Church Matters as the Presidency
of the Church we did not get it all attended to

Letter from Abraham Owen Woodruff, 10 November 1894
Dearest Father, Mother, Blanche and Alice Was delighted this morning to hear from you all & take this; my first opportunity to let you know how I am & under what conditions I am this morning. First I am "ganz" and "gar" broke or in other words have failed to get my money & consequently am without means but that is not [shimmr] for I am well & happy & have had as good time the last week; having been out some- where every night to preach the gospel. When I have plenty of this kind of work then I am happy indeed. Will & I have walked a great deal the last few weeks & so today we both feel a little tired. Am overjoyed to-day as our dear Prest. Bro. Naegle will be with us in a few hours & then, O' how glad I will be to see the dear old Brother again. He is truly a Father to us all & has the love of all the missionaries & I think him a fine man for his pos- ition & in all ways as far as I know him. He gives us such good advice both through letter and word that he is really a dear Brother to us all. Have been preaching at a lively rate the last weeks & have hopes it will do some good. The people in Frieberg wrote that they wanted me to come back and speak to them so if it is possible will try to get Prest. Nägle to go with us. Your type-writter always spells Saxony (or German Sachsen) wrong and would suggest that you send him in the Schule long enough to learn that Dresden is the Capitol of Saxony, and not "Sachsen."
