Letter from Erastus K. Fillerup, 11 January 1895

B. Y. A. Provo. . First Presidency. Dear Brethern: I have received your letter of Jan. 9th. which calls me on a Mission to the Southern States. I feel proud and thankfull to think myself worthy of such a call. But I was never so surprised in my life, as when I received your letter of inquiry, as to my feelings and circumstances in regard to filling such a Mission. I had not even dreamed of a foreign Mission for years hence. It has been a practice with me in my past life to do whatever has been asked of me, to the best of my ability, and I will fill the mission which has been placed upon me, although I feel as small and weak

H. Ward
