Pres. Wilford Woodruff, Dear Brother, I have received a notice from you calling me on a mission to the Southern States and I accept the same with great pleasure. I trust that I will be able to perform a good work. The date of my departure has been set for the 16th of May, and I will be ready on that date if all is well with me. Letter from William Frisby Tuckett, 7 April 1896
Salt Lake City, Utah. President Wilford Woodruff Dear Brother In reply to a Laettarer received from you some time ago Notif- ying me that I had been selected to go on a mission to Great Britan to leave here on May 2nd, my answer is that I will be ready at the the time stated, but if agreeable to you I would prefer to leave on April 25th as I have a Brother in law and some othrer friends who are going on that date. I am not very well situated financialy but I am willing to go and with the help of the Lord do the best I can. Your Brother in the Gosple William F. Tuckett 973 E 1st South City
