Salt Lake City, Utah, U S A Beloved President: Your much appreciated letter came to hand some ^time^ ago, and the contents carefully noted and in compliance with your wish & the advice of President Lund your son Owen has been released to return home with the next co. sailing from Glasgow May 27th. To not have him return alone I released Eld- er Jacob Weiler at the same time and as they both wished to make a visit in England and Bro. Owen wished to again visit his First Field of Labor in Germany viz Frankfurt on the Main, which I had already promised him he should have the opportunity before re- turning home. I suggested that they make this visit & thence down the Rhine & across to England where they could attend to what they wished there, and if possible that Elders Schettler and McEwan would be released in time to join them at Glasgow May 21st and accordingly I appointed Elder Cannon to Berlin, which I have had in view for some time, & suggested that he go via Stutt- gart & Mannheim visiting the Branches there and meet Bros. Owen & Weiler in Frankfurt this week, & wrote Elder Bushman Presiding Elder there to arrange for a big meeting there next Sunday Apr. 26th Elder Schettler has taken Elder Woodruff place as Presi- dent of the Berlin Branch, which position Elder Cannon will
