President Wilford Woodruff:
Dear Sir: I received
your letter of the 4th stateing
my name had been accepted
as a Missionary to the Northern
States and inquireing as to
my feelings consearning the
same and I acan say that though
the call was unexpected and
found me unprepared still
I am willing to go and perform
the same to the best of my
ability and have made my
arrangements to start upon the
date mentioned: Yours respectfully,
