11 I spent the day in the office The Mining Company
held a Meeting I wrote a Letter to Newton & sent
^ A hand pointing to the right^ $10 to David $5 for Myself & $5 for Owen but the
company had already Gone we had word this
Morning from Wells Farg & Co that they held
Notes against the Presidency of the Church for $60000
that must be paid soon. I wrote to Mrs Wm Woodruff

Mauston Wis Dear Presenident Woodruff, I wish to say, I wrote you some six ^weeks^ ago. have been anxously waiting to here from you I wrote and inclosed stamp, but no answer yet Sence writeing you my dear husband has ^passd^ away from Earth ^the 27 of Aug^ I wrote you that his health was verry poor, but I did not think then he woul^d^ go so soon. We visited Salt Lake City 1892, call at your office in June the 8 or 9 I dont just remember the date I wrote in my last letter to you that my husband ^had^ said
