20. Sunday I spent this day at home several of the family
were present Emma was vary sick through the night

Logan, Utah Sunday President Wilford Woodruff & Councillors Dear Brethern we have had a terrific wind storm on the East side of this valley from Franklin to Paradise and don emmence [immense] damage to property, the storm commenced on Friday and continued until saturday morning (yesterday) I have not heard fully from all the settlements but in Richmond, the heaviest loss is the New Brick school House built last year at the cost of six Thousand dollars is now a Total Reck it blew down on Friday night, when no Children were in it, a heavey loss for that little Town. Thousands of large trees are now lying now flat on the Ground, 67 large trees on the Temple Block alone are on the Ground, and the worst part is the Temple Roof is almost entirely uncovered and the Tin or some of it lodged a half Block away and so Broken up it is useless; I was at Home on saturday (yesterday) looking after my private loosses and did not hear of P.S I do not know what loss I have sustained personally as I have not had time to investigate fully, but so far as I have found out about $20000, will remain here until the work on the roof is under way M
