Letter from Hannah Sorensen, 8 October 1896
To the "First Presidency" of the Church of Jesus Christ of L.D.S. My dear Brethren: Be so kind to accept of these few lines, as an expression of my gratitude to you, for the consideration you have given the cause I advocate "The physiological advancement of woman," in allowing us, as a "Society", to gather together, in a general meaeting here in the City, during the days of our "general con- ference." We had a most exelent time at our meeting, a very large attendance and the spirit of God was with us in great abundance, and no doubt, our meeting will result in much good, and we as a Society, look forward with great hope to similar meetings, under similar circumstances. Likewise, I am extreemely thankful to you, for the kind conversation you took pains to have with some of my dear Sisters
