Letter from James T. White & Company Publishers, 26 October 1896
No. 2808 P. NEW YORK Hon. Wilford Woodruff, Salt Lake City, Utah. Dear Sir: In accordance with the criticisms on the pictures of your- self and Brigham Young in your letter of September 21st, we have had our artist retouch the drawings from which new plates have been made, and we herewith enclose proofs. In Brigham Young's picture the hair has been lightened, the under lip made smaller, and some of the shading is removed from the face, which makes it look less broad. In your own picture we trust the too plump appearance has now been removed. Hoping to hear from you at an early date, we are, Yours very truly, James T. White & Co.
