Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dear Brother: Your favor of Apr. 24 came to hand,
contents carefully noted. In reply I will say,
I feel it my duty to respond to your call & to
go & perform my labors in such a worthy cause
as promulgating the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It
shall be my aim to ^do^ all in my power, to
further the work of God in my weak & humble
way. I shall endeavor, with the help of my
Father in Heaven, to prepare myself, that I may
leave at the time you appointed, Oct. 1897.
I would be much pleased however if you would
set the exact date, & let me know concerning
the same at your earliest convenience.
