April 04, 1898 ~ Monday

Monday April 4th Went to the office feeling fairly well, my throat is about well
again. have been in the office with the Presiding Bishopric in the morning
also met Mr M. Graff and friend from Canada in the afternoon on land & other
matters of settlement of our people in that country. Went home at 4 pm

Your most wellcome letter of March 31st came duly to hand to day, informing me that I have been suggested and accepted as a missionary to the Northern States, and to start from Salt Lake City April 14th 1898 In reply to the same will say I feal thankfull to be considered worthey to take this mission, and feal to accept of the call and will indever by the help of the Lord to be on hand at the apointed time, and hope to be able to fill this mission with Honner, Your Brother in the Gosple M. Fillmore President Wilford Woodruff, Salt Lake City, Dear Brother: My Son Alfred Robison has not been at home, and does not know of the letter which you sent and which is waiting him here. As soon as he comes I will give him the letter and he will answer it favorably; that is he will be ready to start on a mission at the appointed time. Wilford Woodruff Salt Lake City, Utah Dear Brother, Your's of the 30th ult. received and after considering the call whereunto you have deemed me worthy to be called, must say that I consider it a great honour to have the privilege, once more, to go back to Scandinavia as a messenger of the Gospel, and therefore shall endeavour to make every possible arrangement so as to be ready to leave in August, on the day which you hereafter may dessignate. Montpelier the . Dear President Woodruff! As we are again at Conference time I want to write a fex lines to you, in regard to this matter. At the last gGenerale Conference you have publiched every record of it in pamphets. A I have recieved one of them, read it very careffully. I am not aible to find words to express my feelings and to tell you how much I have rejoyis in reading those sermons. I thank you with all my heart for having distribu publiched them in that way and thank God to for having inspire you to do so. Now I wish with all my heart that at this Conference you will again do the same.
