August 29, 1898 ~ Monday

Monday Aug 29th Brother Cannon and myself went out riding to
the Sea through the park. I received letters from Clara, Vedi,
Asahel and Naomi.

I was notified a month or so ago that I was released. This notification came through Apostle F. D. Richards Perhaps the Clerk has not been notified of the said release. To President Woodruff and Council Dear Brethren I am pleased to note that I have two such staunch friends as Andrew Smith and C H Crow Having learned they are using their best efforts in my behalf with you and thinking perhaps they do not state facts enugh or plain enugh for you I thourg- hly understand the situation or through laps of years you may have forgaten the facts you were familiar with.
