Dec 3rd at 1 oclok in the Morning but did not go to bed till near
morning was called up Early to visit who was taken
sick at the House of I went to see her & found her
vary sick she had Miscarried. I attended the
& followed & . Distance of my travels South 150 M[iles]
[FIGURE] I received 5 letters on my return home One from
December 4, 1870 ~ Sunday
4. Sunday I attended my in the Morning &
all day. Brother spoke in the Morning 45 Minutes & in the
Afternoon spoke One hour & 6 Minutes I attended the
Prayer Circle with , & I Preached in the 13 ward in the
Evening followed By President . On my return home
[FIGURE] was taken sick in labor & had a son born at 10 oclok AM
December 5, 1870 ~ Monday
Dec 5, 1870. is still quite sick I was up Most of the night
I spent the day choreing mostly in picking over Apples I find those
which I packed in Chaff rotted vary bad Apples should not be
packed in Chaff at all Brother bought of Me 20
Bushels of spitzenburgh at $1.75 per bushels & packed in Boxes

December 6, 1870 ~ Tuesday to December 9, 1870 ~ Friday
6, 7 8 & 9 I spent the week in picking over Apples husking corn &c
December 10, 1870 ~ Saturday
10. I attended the & spoke with others
December 11, 1870 ~ Sunday
101. Sunday I attended Meeting at the in a hard snow
storm. Brother Morris spoke in the Morning &
& W Woodruff in the Afternoon. I also Preached in the 8 ward
in the Evening. I received 4 letters from , ,

letters to the Chief of Poliece in New York City
December 12, 1870 ~ Monday
12. is still vary sick I spent the day with the sick

13. I went to the & put corn under cover & spent most
of the night with the sick {I had a [gloomy day] at the farm with . I expect his has died. I ordained him a and him.}
December 14, 1870 ~ Wednesday
14. took the team & went to to Meet (I attended Meeting at the on the Evening of
the 12 with the Deseret Stock Society & herd the reports
of the various committees)
I moved my Bee house to day & put my Bees in winter Quarters
December 15, 1870 ~ Thursday
15 I spent the day husking corn & choreing
December 16, 1870 ~ Friday
