Aug 31^st Preston Conference met at the
cock pit or Temperence Hall at half past 10 oclok
on Sunday the 31 Aug.

Elder Leonard Hardy was chosen President
John Fawley Clerk.

Their were present 1 of the Twelve, 1 of the
Seventies 15 Elders, 18 Priest, 13 Teachers
& 2 Deacons. Conference opened with singing
and Prayer. After which we herd the following
representations were given

In the Afternoon there was two ordained to
the office of Priest & 6 confirmed & 2 children
blessed under the hands of Elders Woodruff
and Hardy. As Elder Hardy was about to
leave Elder John Melling was appointed the
Presiding Elder over the Preston Branch &
John Holsall presiding Elder over the
conference for the time being perfect union prevai-
led therough the conference. Elder W. Woodruff
addressed the assembly in the evening upon
