Brethren and sisters, after the
congregation receiving so much in-
structions, I feel that I shall make
my remarks very brief. It is truly
good to sit and hear the word of the
Lord, and it is truly a good thing to
believe in it; but it is still better to
practise it.

I have reflected to-day, as I fre-
quently do, with regard to the mercy
of God and his loving-kindness to the
children of men. The positions that
the children of men occupy with
regard to the difference there is in
the minds of men on the subject of
religion and the character of God is
