    San Bernardino Sept 8th 1856 W Woodruff Dear Brother I recieved your letter by the last mail and was truly glad to hear from you this leaves my self and family here in tolerable good health also the saints in general. I can truly say I feel thankful to learn there is a general feeling among the Saints to plant fruit and beautify their lots and gardens and I feel to contribit my might in this matter I am makeing some collections and shall forward some to you and Br
