Abigail Smith Adams

Abigail Smith Adams (1744-1818) was born 22 Nov. 1744 in Weymouth, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts Bay, British Colonial America. She was the daughter of William Smith and Elizabeth Quincy. She married John Adams on 25 Oct. 1764 in Braintree, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts Bay, British Colonial America, and they had six children. She died 28 Oct. 1818 in Quincy, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts. She was one of the eminent women for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
