Ashbel Griswold

Ashbel Griswold (1757-1805) was born 12 May 1757 in Farmington, Hartford Co., Connecticut, British Colonial America. He was the son of Gideon Griswold and Hannah Root and a distant relative of Wilford Woodruff. He married Elizabeth Woodruff about 1774. He died 30 Sep. 1805 in Hartford Co., Connecticut. His proxy temple ordinance work was initiated by Wilford Woodruff on 29 Jan. 1879.
