Augustus Poore Hardy

Augustus Poore Hardy (1831–1912) was born 2 Mar. 1831 in Bradford, Essex Co., Massachusetts. He was the son of Samuel B. Hardy and Caroline Bacon Rogers. He married Elizabeth A. Capener on 18 Mar. 1854 in Great Salt Lake City, Great Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory. He was baptized 13 Aug. 1845. He traveled to Utah Territory in the same company as Wilford Woodruff in 1850, and he met with Wilford regarding Fort Harmony, Washington Co., Utah Territory on 20 and 21 May 1855. He died 23 Dec. 1912 in St. George, Washington Co., Utah.
