Benjamin Thomas Mitchell
Benjamin Thomas Mitchell (1816-1880) was born 12 Jan. 1816 in Muncy, Lycoming Co., Pennsylvania. He was the son of Abraham Mitchell and Anne Colpeter. He married Sarah Treicbach on 26 Apr. 1835 in Portage Co., Ohio; widowed before 28 Aug. 1843. He married Lavina Buckwalter on 10 Oct. 1843; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 24 May 1836. He was present at the laying of the cornerstone of the Salt Lake Temple with Wilford Woodruff on 13 Aug. 1857.He died 9 Mar. 1880 in Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory.
