Charles Shumway

Charles Shumway (1806-1898) was born 2 Aug. 1806 in Oxford, Worcester Co., Massachusetts. He was the son of Parley Shumway and Polly Johnson. He married Julia Ann Hooker on 26 Mar. 1832. He was baptized in 1841. He served with Wilford Woodruff in church and community positions in Nauvoo, Hancock Co. Illinois, and Utah Territory. He died 21 May 1898 in Shumway, Apache Co., Arizona.
