Chauncy Warriner Porter
Chauncy Warriner (Warren) Porter (1812-1868) was born 20 Oct. 1812 in Holland, Niagara Co., New York. He was the son of Sanford Porter and Nancy Warriner. He married Amy Sumner on 6 Dec. 1833 in Jackson Co., Missouri; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 10 Aug. 1831. He was appointed a captain of ten by Wilford Woodruff on 4 Feb. 1847 in Winter Quarters (later Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska), and his sealing to Priscilla Strong was attended by Wilford on 10 Feb. 1848 in Winter Quarters. He died 3 Mar. 1868 in Centerville, Davis Co., Utah Territory.
