Christopher Columbus
1451-1506
Christopher Columbus (1451-1506) was born 1451 in Genoa, Italy. He was the son of Domenico Colombo and Susanna Fontanarossa. He married Felippa in 1479 in Lisbon, Portugal; widowed in 1484. He married Beatrix Enriquez in Nov. 1486 in Cordova. He died 20 May 1506 in Corunna, Spain. He was one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
