Daniel (OT)
Daniel, also named Belteshazzar, was taken captive in Babylon. He gained King Nebuchadnezzar's favor when he interpreted King Nebuchadnezzar's dreams and Darius's favor when he interpreted the writing on the wall. He miraculously survived being cast in a lions' den as punishment for praying. He is a scriptural figure in the Old Testament referred to by Wilford Woodruff.
