Eli Chase
Eli Chase (1808-1851) was born 9 Nov. 1808 in Ellisburg, Jefferson Co., New York. He was the son of Stephen Chase and Orryanna Rowe. He married Olive Hills on 25 Jul. 1840 in Madison Co., New York. He was baptized in Feb. 1831. He hosted Wilford Woodruff overnight on 4 Dec. 1847 in Kanesville, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa, while Wilford was traveling. He died 20 Feb. 1851 in Great Salt Lake City, Great Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory.
