Ellen Benbow Carter

Ellen Benbow Carter (1825-1901) was born 20 May 1825 in Grendon, Herefordshire, England. She was the daughter of Thomas Benbow and Mary Jones. She married William Carter in Nauvoo on 5 Nov. 1843, and they had five children. She and William were married by Wilford Woodruff. She was baptized by Wilford Woodruff on 9 Mar. 1840. She died 6 May 1901 in St. George, Washington Co., Utah.
