Emanuel Masters Murphy
Emanuel Masters Murphy (1809-1871) was born 15 Sep. 1809 in Union Co., South Carolina. He was the son of Mark Murphy and Holly Duke. He married Nancy Judd Easters on 5 Apr. 1831; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 18 Sep. 1836 in Tennessee. He served with Wilford Woodruff in church positions from about 1836 to 1871. He died 23 Jul. 1871 in Mill Creek, Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory.
