Emily Jane Smith Woodruff (1850-1878) was born 28 Oct. 1850 in Salt Creek Twp., Davis Co., Iowa. She was the daughter of Elias Smith and Lucy Brown. She married Wilford Woodruff Jr., the son of Wilford Woodruff and Phebe Whittemore Carter, on 12 Oct. 1867 in Great Salt Lake City, Great Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory. She died 8 May 1878 in Salt Lake City.
