Ephraim Luce

Ephraim Luce (1799-1880) was born 30 Sep. 1799 in Vinalhaven, Hancock Co., Maine. He was the son of Malatiah Luce and Ruth Grant. He married Lydia Macomber on 7 Dec. 1827 in Vinalhaven; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized by Wilford Woodruff on 7 Apr. 1838 on the North Fox Island, Waldo Co., Maine. He hosted Wilford Woodruff in 1837 and 1838 and traveled with the Wilford Woodruff company from Maine to Illinois in 1838. He died 2 Mar. 1880 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory.
