Francis Gladden Bishop
Bishop, Frances Gladden (1809-1864), was born on 19 Jun. 1809 in Livonia, Ontario County, New York. He was the son of Isaac Gates Bishop and Mary Hyde. He was baptized on 2 Jul. 1832. He was ordained a Seventy in Kirtland, Geauga County, Ohio the same year as Wilford Woodruff and they were both stockholders in the Kirtland Safety Society. Bishop was appointed Indian agent for Utah Territory while Wilford was serving in the Utah Territorial Legislature. He died in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah Territory on 30 Nov. 1864.
