George Curtis

George Curtis (1792-1856) was christened 5 Feb. 1792 in Leigh, Gloucestershire, England. He was the son of Thomas Curtis and Mary. He married Rachael Trotman on 26 Nov. 1818 in Hempstead, Gloucestershire, England. He was baptized under the direction of Wilford Woodruff on 11 Jun. 1840 in Leigh. He provided his home as a place for Wilford Woodruff to preach on 1 Apr. 1840 in Norton, Gloucestershire, England. He died 16 Oct. 1856 near the Sweetwater River, unorganized U.S. Territory.
