George Hewitt

George Hewitt (1785-abt. 1850) was christened 23 Oct. 1785 in Rockcliffe, Cumberland, England. He was the son of Walter Hewitt and Mary Wilson. He married Jane Pickering on 26 May 1817 in Walton-on-the-Hill, Lancashire, England. He was visited by Wilford Woodruff several times in 1845 in Manchester, Lancashire, England. He died about May 1850 in Kanesville, Pottawattamie Co, Iowa.
