George John Taylor

George John Taylor (1834-1914) was born 31 Jan. 1834 in Toronto, Upper Canada, British North America. He was the son of John Taylor and Leonora Cannon. He was baptized about 1842 in Montrose, Lee Co., Iowa. He was appointed a teacher for the School of the Prophets on 2 Dec. 1867 and called to the High Council in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory on 4 May 1873; both events were noted by Wilford Woodruff in his journal. He died 15 Dec. 1914 in Provo, Utah Co., Utah.
