George Lake

George Lake (1838-1898) was born 15 Sep. 1838 in Morgan Co., Illinois. He was the son of James Lake Jr. and Philomela Smith. He married Louisa Ann Garner Lake on 13 May 1860 in Great Salt Lake City, Great Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized Feb. 1851. He spoke in church meetings that Wilford Woodruff attended between 1873 and 1880 in Utah Territory. He died 23 Mar. 1898 in Colonia Dublan, Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico.
