George Washington Harris

George Washington Harris (1780-1857) was born 1 Apr. 1780 in Lanesboro, Berkshire Co., Massachusetts. He was the son of James Harris and Diana Burton. He married Margaret; widowed in 1828. He married Lucinda Pendleton in Nov. 1830 in Batavia, Genesee Co., New York. He was baptized in 1834. He was mentioned in Doctrine and Covenants 124, of which Wilford Woodruff made a copy. He died 22 Nov. 1857 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., Iowa.
