George Washington Hickman

George Washington Hickman (1825-1893) was born 12 Mar. 1825 in Missouri. He was the son of Edwin T. Hickman and Elizabeth Adams. He married Lucy Ann Haws on 25 Dec. 1858 in Great Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory. He was baptized 31 Mar. 1854. He was taken prisoner by the United States Army and escaped in 1857; the event was mentioned by Wilford Woodruff in his journal. He died 24 Nov. 1893 and was buried in Payson, Utah Co., Utah Territory.
