Hannah Compton Wattis (Waters, Watts) Cheney (1804-1884) was christened 27 May 1804 in Powick, Worcestershire, England. She was the daughter of John Compton and Pheobe. She married Edmond Wattis on 12 Jul. 1824 in London, Middlesex, England, and they had five children; widowed in Sep. 1844. She married Elam Cheney on 6 Nov. 1845 in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, and they had three children. She was baptized by Wilford Woodruff on 26 Apr. 1840 in Crowcutt, Worcestershire, England. She died 21 Jul. 1884 in Fairview, Sanpete Co., Utah Territory.
