Hannah Dixon Coombs Whitley
Hannah Dixon Coombs Whitley (1808-1889) was born 3 Jul. 1808 in Vinalhaven, Hancock Co., Maine. She was the daughter of Anthony Coombs Jr. and Elizabeth Allen. She married William Whitley Jr. about 2 Dec. 1826 in Belfast, Waldo Co., Maine, and they had nine children. She was baptized about 1838. She sailed with Phebe Whittemore Carter Woodruff across the Fox Island thoroughfare on 17 Apr. 1838, and she traveled with the Wilford Woodruff Company to join the main body of Saints in Oct. 1838. She died 20 Apr. 1889 in Emporia, Lyon Co., Kansas.
