Heber Manning Wells

Heber Manning Wells (1859-1938) was born 11 Aug. 1859 in Great Salt Lake City, Great Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory. He was the son of Daniel Hanmer Wells and Martha Givens Harris. He married Mary Elizabeth Beatie on 15 Jan. 1880; widowed 13 Oct. 1888. He married Theresa Clawson Cummings on 14 Oct. 1892 in Manti, Sanpete Co., Utah Territory; widowed 9 Jul. 1897. He married Emily Katz on 15 Jun. 1901 in Salt Lake City. He was baptized in 1867. He served as governor of Utah beginning in 1896 and met with Wilford Woodruff often in that capacity. He died 12 Mar. 1938 in Salt Lake City.
