Helen Mar Kimball Whitney

Helen Mar Kimball Whitney (1828-1896) was born 22 Aug. 1828 in Mendon, Monroe Co., New York. She was the daughter of Heber Chase Kimball and Vilate Murray. She was baptized in 1836 in Kirtland, Geauga Co., Ohio. She was sealed to Joseph Smith in 1843 in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois; widowed. She married Horace K. Whitney on 4 Feb. 1846, and they had eleven children. She was the mother of Vilate Murrary Whitney, whose 1870 death was recorded by Wilford Woodruff in his journal. She died 15 Nov. 1896 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah.
