Herod the Great (NT)
Herod the Great (Herod I) began rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem in 17 BC. He feared the birth of the Savior and ordered the massacre of Bethlehem's infants as a result. He is a scriptural figure in the New Testament referred to by Wilford Woodruff.
