Hiram Cannon

1786-1857

Hiram Cannon (1786-1857) was born 20 Jul. 1786 in New Salem, Hampshire Co., Massachusetts. He was the son of Simeon Cannon and Mary Nichols. He married Calista Haynes about 28 Nov. 1807 in Lebanon, York Co., Maine. He married Mary Horne on 18 Aug. 1811 in Rochester, Strafford Co., New Hampshire; widowed 11 Feb. 1844. He married Mary M. Chase on 27 Jul. 1844 in Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts. He visited Wilford Woodruff in his home in Winter Quarters (later Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska) on 7 Mar. 1848. He died 15 Feb. 1857 and was buried in Ogden, Weber Co., Utah Territory.
