Ira Allen
Ira Allen (1814-1900) was born 27 Apr. 1814 in Thompson, Windham Co., Connecticut. He was the son of Simeon Allen and Elizabeth Leavens. He married Calista Bass on 23 Nov. 1834 in Ashford, Windham Co., Connecticut; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized in Feb.1845. He was mentioned by Wilford Woodruff in his journal on 20 May 1855 in the context of a church meeting. He died 21 Dec. 1900 in Hyrum, Cache Co., Utah.
