Israel Ivins
Israel Ivins (1815-1897) was born 19 May 1815 in Toms River, Monmouth Co., New Jersey. He was the son of Anthony Ivins and Sarah Wallen. He married Anna Lowrie Ivins on 19 Mar. 1844; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized in Mar. 1838. He hosted Wilford Woodruff overnight on 7 Dec. 1849 in Toms River while Wilford was traveling, and Wilford recorded in his journal that they were present at Jedediah Morgan Grant's death on 1 Dec. 1856 in Great Salt Lake City, Great Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory. He died 16 Apr. 1897 in St. George, Washington Co., Utah.
